The sculpture is called Techno-kisi; it is the first of its kind where the ancient art form of an nkisi has technology at the center of the piece. An nkisi speaks is a figure from the Republic of the Congo. An nkisi is a power figure. Its supernatural powers are deposited in a cavity of the stomach that protects the community. Techno-kisi is unique in that it fuses technology with an ancient tradition, a vehicle to protect and convey the mystery of the community simultaneously.
